Alright, on to the Engagement Party! We are doing things a little differently. Instead of trying to squeeze everything into one day and spending it rushing between wonderful things, we decided to slow everything down and break things into two grand days. Instead of a same day reception on the day we marry, we are doing a same-week-of-Engagement-Party!
This is a fun, casual party (emphasis on "casual" - no dresses or ties expected unless you PREFER dresses or ties). It is a come-as-you-are, stay-a-long-time, have-fun, post-on-Facebook kinda party that everyone is welcome to attend! It is a party to celebrate our engagement and a chance for our friends and family to get to know us a little better. The party has our favorite foods (mmmmm...), fun activities that represent our interests (what rhymes with "photo booth", did you know that Ben is an avid rock climber, or that Ben and Lauren are both artists?), and...well, you will have to come and see for yourself what we have planned for you.
Please join us anytime between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. We hope you will come and stay the entire time, but if you can only stop by for a few minutes then that is fine too (see CASUAL above). Come and meet the bride and groom, get to know us a little better, and have a wonderful time doing so!
